| These PJ's are size 12 months. Can you believe it!? |
Sleep: We had another big sleep transition this week, and hopefully our last one before moving him to a big boy bed. No more swaddle! I was kind of up in arms about it because he would have nothing to do with sleeping on his back unless swaddled. I googled, and read numerous forums about how to get him to do this, but at the end of the day, we just put him on his side. And guess what? In the middle of the night he would eventually lose balance on his side and roll to his back. He would stay asleep after some hand sucking (thank God), and eventually learned to like sleeping on his back. He has woken up more than usual the past few days because of it, Kevin and I are hoping this is short term :)
Play: This week Kevin's best friend, Uncle Erik, came to visit! He got to see Owen for the first time. Not surprising, Owen had his first trip to a Hofbrauhaus house. His future is already leading him to becoming a 'myrmidon".
Diet: I feel like we are starting to lose our consistency with his diet. He should be going up in oz. but isn't, and eating less times a day, but isn't. I'm not going to worry about it since it will all change in a couple of weeks anyways when we introduce solids.
Clothes: Putting away his 3-6 months more and more. O hates putting on pants lately. I hope this doesn't mean he will be that frat boy in college. Can't wait for summer so he will have the freedom of his legs.
Fav's: Baby exercises! We roll from one side to the other, sit and then stand. He just absolutely loves being able to learn how to work his own body and use his muscles.
Followings: So I switched carriers this week. My mom was super generous and bought us the Ergo before we had Owen. Little did I know that you cannot face a baby outwards in it, which is O's ideal position. So I did my research and turns out there are not many forward facing baby carriers. The Bjorn, which is what we were going to get, is apparently bad for babys back. So we decided to go with the Beco Gemini in 'aiden' design. It comes in on Wednesday so I will let you know how it is.
Crying: Valentines day was a cranky day for us. Maybe he was revolting against the holiday. But I am pretty sure it was our fault since we kept him up late the night before and he was off his sleep schedule. He is also starting to cry more when he fights to fall asleep sometimes. Other than that he is a very mellow baby, just like his Daddy.

Milestones: He is pretty much able to roll to one side now, but not able to flip onto his belly just yet. Also "lauging" is a big one, its more of a squeal of excitement right now but its a sweet, sweet sound :)
Mommy: I had a great Valentines day. It was the best staying at home and spending time with my two favorite boys in the world.

Cannot forget Lola in St. Valentines' love, she loves us all a little too much :)
